Nobu Hotel Madrid: Rooms, Dining and Booking Caveats
Compare room sizes, city views and terrace suites, separate dining from the stay, and avoid relying on an expired opening-offer deadline.
Nobu Hotel Madrid is worth shortlisting if you want a central city stay built around Nobu dining. The room choice matters more than the brand name: the entry Superior is 22 square metres with internal views, while the 30-square-metre Premium Room City View adds a city outlook and a bathtub. A suite is not necessary just to get those two features.
This is a source-based booking guide, not a report of a stay. Details below reflect the hotel's published pages checked on 31 October 2026; no room availability or nightly rate is promised.
Where is Nobu Madrid?
The hotel's published address is Calle Alcalá 26, Centro, Madrid. Its restaurant occupies the corner of Alcalá and Cedaceros. Choose it as a city hotel, not a resort: the principal reasons to consider it are the address, the room category and the dining downstairs.
Use the hotel's contact page for the address and direct enquiries. For a trip extending beyond the capital, our Spain hotel guide sets out the wider destination choices.
Which room should you book?
The hotel's individual room pages give a more useful comparison than a generic promise of Japanese minimalism.
| Category | Published interior area | Outlook and bathroom | Booking judgement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Superior | 22 sq m | Internal views; walk-in shower | Consider it for a short stay when you will spend little time in the room. Do not book it expecting a city panorama. |
| Deluxe | 30 sq m | Internal views; walk-in shower | A space upgrade rather than a view upgrade. |
| Premium Room City View | 30 sq m | City views; walk-in shower and soaking bathtub | The category to compare first if daylight outlook and a bath matter more than extra floor area. |
| Hikari Suite | 40 sq m, plus a separate 15 sq m terrace | Top-floor city views; walk-in shower | Consider it for a private outdoor sitting area, not because every suite necessarily has a bathtub. |
These specifications come from the hotel's Superior, Deluxe, Premium Room City View and Hikari Suite pages. They describe those exact categories, not every room carrying the words Premium or Suite.
Our starting choice would be Premium Room City View. Deluxe has the same published interior area but an internal outlook; Hikari buys a terrace and more interior space. Compare the actual quotes before upgrading, rather than treating the category ladder as a ranking of value.
For families, the Hikari description mentions select adjoining configurations. That is not a guarantee of connecting rooms, an extra bed or suitable occupancy for your party: have the hotel confirm the exact arrangement before paying a non-refundable rate.
Do you need to stay to eat at Nobu?
No hotel stay is required to start a restaurant reservation: the official dining page provides public table-booking links. If dinner is your only reason to consider the hotel, compare booking a table with paying for the overnight stay.
The restaurant spans three levels, with an eight-seat sushi bar in the first-floor dining room, a ground-floor lounge and a below-street-level bar lounge. The hotel also describes a rooftop for light bites and cocktails and 24-hour in-room dining. These are different experiences; reserve the venue you actually want rather than assuming a restaurant booking includes the rooftop.
The Hikari Suite amenities list restaurant reservation priority. Priority is not a confirmed table at your preferred time. Secure the dinner reservation separately if it is the point of the trip. Our Nobu brand profile provides context for comparing the wider collection, but Madrid's own room and dining terms should control this booking.
Wellness: distinguish the relaxation pool from the rooftop
The wellness page describes a private treatment cabin, a relaxation pool and a quiet lounge, plus round-the-clock access to a Technogym-equipped fitness studio. The rooftop is described separately as a place for drinks and light bites. Do not turn those two descriptions into a promise of a rooftop swimming pool.
If swimming is a deciding factor, ask about the relaxation pool's dimensions, access conditions and suitability for your intended use. The published description does not establish a lap pool or family swimming programme.
The opening offer is not a current booking entitlement
The site still displays a “Welcome to Madrid, the Nobu Way” offer with breakfast, a €100 food-and-beverage credit and a two-night minimum. Its detailed terms say bookings had to be made by 30 September 2026, even though eligible stays extend through 31 December 2026.
As of this guide's 31 October check, that published booking deadline has passed. Do not count the credit or breakfast in a new booking unless the hotel supplies current terms that explicitly include them. A live promotional page is not proof that the booking window remains open.
Who should shortlist it?
Shortlist Nobu Madrid for a central address, a specific room configuration and an evening built around its restaurant or bar. Compare other hotels if generous entry-level room space or a swimming-led stay is essential. Start with Premium Room City View for a bath and city outlook; move to Hikari only when the private terrace earns its additional cost to you.
